St. Brigid's crosses

We were learning about St. Brigid today.

We made some paper crosses and later some of us also made crosses out of reeds.

Advent wreaths

Advent is a time to prepare for the birth of Jesus.

We have an advent wreath in class.

It has 3 purple candles on it (for hope, love and peace) and a pink candle (for joy) and a white candle (for the birth of Jesus).

We light one candle a week until Christmas time.

Today we made some advent wreaths of our own.

They will look very nice when they are finished.
